Forensic antropological analysis of ancient skulls

The accurate assessment of the biological profile of unknown skeletal remains is a preliminary and mandatory step before personal identification. The forensic antropology approach in the study of human bones can provide useful information to the biological profile of the victims like the determination of ethnic group, sex, age. Non-metric traits, or epigenetic characters are anatomical variabilities, discrete and morphologically assessable, widespread throughout the entire skeleton and at the skull. These variants are often used in archeology to assess ossible familiar relationships, or for the reconstruction of the biological profile relatively to ancestry.
