DID - New Perspectives on Diphthong Dynamics

The postdoctoral researcher position is open as part of an international project (co-funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) in collaboration with the Institut für Phonetik und Sprachverarbeitung of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. The acoustic phonetics project focuses on the description and study of two poorly documented languages such as Sardinian and Tyrolean dialect. The goals of the project involve the description of vowel systems, the study of the temporal structure of diphthongs and the construction of corpora for linguistic documentation. The research fellow will be working on (a) data analysis, (b)
dissemination of results, and (c) writing scientific papers. While contributing to the entire project, the fellow will be
mainly responsible for research on the vowel system of Sardinian. The project description is available at: https://
