The project proposes the production of liquid organic hydrogen carrier and chemicals through the electrochemical conversion of lignin. The study will focus on the development of electrocatalysts based on nanostructures of titanium oxide and carbon for the electrocatalytic oxidation of platform molecules derived from lignin. The electrocatalysts will be characterized using chemical, structural and morphological characterization methods and electrochemical techniques (cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy). The electrocatalytic activity will be evaluated in an electrochemical flow cell.
